Vegetarian recipes


  • Cabbage
  • Potato
  • Tomato
  • Green peas
  • Chives
  • Green Chilly
  • Turmeric, Zeera, Dhaniya powder
  • Bay Leaves, full zeera

 I tried this today but forgot to take the photograph, but it came out really nice

Do tarka of full zeera, bay leaf, Chives, onions & green chilly. Once Onion brownish & chives on the crispy side, add potato cubed medium size.  Mix and after 5 mins,  add chilly powder, zeera powder, turmeric powder and dhaniya powder.

Add cabbage, mix and cook for 10 mins.

Add tomato and cook for for sometime. (I added a few pieces of lemon grass for flavor)

Add green peas and salt to taste and cook untill cabbage & Aloo is fully cooked. You can sprinkle little water in between to avoid it being to dry.

 Great with chapati or as a side dish with rice.

ummmmm this was really tasty and sounded fast to make, I tasted this from one of my collegues lunch box :)

Here is the recipe shared by him, I will try soon

- 1 Can of kabuli Channa

- 1 small can of tomato puree

In a  pressure cooker vessel, do tarka in oil of Onions, ginger, garlic, full zeera, red chilly powder, chole masala, and little garam masala.

Add tomato puree & salt to taste

Add the kabuli channa from the can and little water as per the curry consistency you like, and put the lit of the pressure cooker. Let it whisle for 2 times & let it cool.

Sounded easy and tasted awesome with chapati, will try soon.

Moog Dal

  • Soak Moong
  • Do tarka with Oil, hing, and red chilly powder
  • Add little water, Moog, haldi, salt and cook (remember not to overcook it, it should be just cooked with grains of moong separated)

Gujarati Curry

  • Besan powder- 1 spoon
  • Curd - 5 spoon
  • Mix with water & beat it untill bubbles are form
  • Add crush fresh ginger, green chilly, curry patta and salt
  • keep aside for 5 minutes and boil, add little haldi  
  • Do tarka with Ghee, methi seeds (fenugreek), mustard seeds, zeera, 1 cinamon stick, elaichi and add in the boiling curry
  • Add pinch of sugar & cilantro for garnishing

Serve with rice.
