Learnt this from one of my colleague who got it for lunch. I ate with phulka roti and it was really good.
- Hing powder, turmeric powder, Dhaniya powder, Aziwan
- Fresh Lemon juice – 1/4th of Lemon
Heat 1-2 TBS of oil (I prefer to have less oil), put hing and add the cut beans. Add turmeric powder, stir it and cover and cook in slow flame. Once it is half cooked, add dhaniya powder, aziwan (don’t put too much, the flavor is very strong, I made the mistake of putting lots in my 1st try) and salt to taste. Stir and cook for another 5 – 10 minutes. Squeeze fresh lemon juice once done.
Eat with Chapati or as a side dish with rice. Good for everyday simple eating.
Another variation I have tried is put the aziwan in tarka instead of adding it at the end and add small cut aloo. This variation is also very good.
