Heinou asangba metpa (Green Mango)


Heinou asangba metpa is an all time favourite when I was growing up. We use to go and pluck green mangoes and grate it, throw a pinch of salt, spoon of sugar, cut green chilly into it & throw some nungsidak (mint)  leaves. Mix it well .. it’s really good. Ask a pregnant lady & she will give full justice to the taste of this preparation 🙂

mango1Also, my all time favourite was heinou ambon which was just steamed green mango cut out just as the picture, with sprinkles of salt & red chilly powder.
